Let me preface this post by saying - I am not an experienced fisherman. I thoroughly enjoy the sport, but it's not something I do very often. With that said, I've fished in some very interesting places - the Great Barrier Reef and Peruvian Amazon (fished for anacondas), just to name a few.
Deep sea fishing in Alaska was on another level. We fished for halibut and salmon off the coast of Seward, and although it was a bit pricey - it was well worth it. My group was catching fish non-stop. Every time I looked over at my dad, uncle, or cousin, someone was reeling something in.
After a successful day, we had our fish frozen, boxed up, and shipped back to Los Angeles. The halibut lasted us almost a year!!!
